Usage
IFCout was the first plugin to Export AutoCAD Plant3d to IFC files. Over nearly 3 years, IFCout has improved tremendously to cover most of the complexity that Plant3D components have. IFCout exports XREFs without opening them. IFCout exports single drawings and a batch of many drawings.
Versions of AutoCAD
Currently IFCout supports AutoCAD PLANT3D, Advanced Steel, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architectural, 2025, 2024, 2023,2022 and 2021.
IFC Export
IFCout exports to IFC4 and IFC 2x3. It exports graphics as well as data including user attributes for Advanced Steel. The graphics can be exported as smooth surfaces or as 3D mesh surfaces.
