XDATAo1 Help
XDATAo1 is a plug-in for AutoCAD and all its vertical. It allows you to add, modify and view drawings entities XDATA. It can also be used to turn your AutoCAD primitive entities into smart objects by storing data. If you export AutoCAD PLANT3D drawings using PLANTo3, you can view and modify the exported drawings piping/steel components properties as XDATA in plain AutoCAD.

Add XDATA Tab
Quickly and effectively add all potential data types to entities. You can add XDATA to one or more entities at a time.
Value:
Type in the data the actual value of the XDATA item. Use the Key-Value pair if you plan to export the drawing to IFC file format using either IFCout or IFCout Cloud.
Delete:
Click this button to deleted selected XDATA item(s) from the list.
Available Applications:
Lists all available XDATA applications in the drawing. You can select any application to use for adding new XDATA to entities.
New:
Click this button to add new Application XDATA names. The following dialog box appears where you can specify the new application name:
Select Objects:
Click this button to select one or more entities to add XDATA to. The selected entities names are displayed in the drop down next to it.
Types:
Lists all available XDATA data types you can use to store the data.
Name:
Type in the data name [key] to identify the actual value of the XDATA item.
Add:
Click this button to add XDATA item currently displayed in the Name and Value boxed. This XDATA item is then displayed in the list below it as shown.
Apply:
Click this button to store all displayed XDATA items in the selected entities.
Modify XDATA Tab
Select entity and modify or delete its XDATA visually.
Select Entity:
Click this button to select any entity on the screen to list all XDATA it has if any.
Delete XDATA:
Click this button to delete all XDATA the selected entity has if any.
Update:
Click this button to update any XDATA item after you have changed its value in the text box next to it.
All XDATA stored in the selected entity is displayed as shown. You can highlight any item and modify its value as stated above.
View XDATA Tab
Visually view all available XDATA present in the drawing. You can filter by Application Names. This feature is specifically meant to view data exported by PLANTo3.
Filter:
Type in entity name to filter out similar names in the entities list.
Refresh:
Click this button to refresh all displayed XDATA applications in the drawing.
Application Names Dropdown:
Lists all XDATA Application names in the drawing.
Entities List:
Lists all entity names associated with the selected XDATA Application name in the dropdown.
Properties List:
Lists all XDATA items stored in the selected entity in the list above.
Right Click on Entities List, a dropdown menu appears with more options.
Transparency:
Changes the transparency value of the selected entities.
Color:
Allows you to change the color of the selected entities.
Isolate:
Isolates selected entities.
Hide:
Hides selected entities.
Show:
Shows selected entities.
Zoom:
Zooms to selected entity.
Show All:
Shows all entities in the drawing.
